Attributes in Product listed in wrong order

Hey Zenners,

Hope someone can help me, I add two options names to a product: Roof Racks Ladders. Both have several options in a dropdown menu.

I put in the order for Roof Racks 10 and for Ladders 20. Even though, the dropdown menu of the Ladders is showing first then the Roor Racks DM.

Is it only possible to sort the options via their name or is it also possible with the order number.

You can set the sort order for the attributes. like the following:
0
1
2

0 allways is first. It might be better to set them 0, 10, 20, 30.....that way if you need to add attributes between you can easily with 5, 15, 25....etc

edit: I also believe if they are all set to 0 they will sort alphabetically

yes, that's what I did, but it's still showing wrong, this is why it is so strange.

Any suggestion, what can be wrong?

Thanks Mike, but I already set a sort order in the Attributes Controller. I put always an order number when I created each Option Name and for each Option Value. But nothing works. Everything is sorting Alphabetically instead of via order no.

It's just weird and frustrating

So what you are saying is that the sort order nuber on the attributes controller page, as in the attached pic, are not displaying in the order you have them set to on this page

No, this sort order is correct. But the sort order between different Option Names are not correct.

I have the option name Roof Racks as an dropdown menu
within the option name Roof Racks, the option values are ordered correctly.

And I have the option name Ladders, where also all option values are in correct order.

My problem is, I want to have the dropdown menu Roof Racks first and then the dropdown menu Ladders second.

Please see attached picture, the second picture shows the admin, where the Ladders has the order no. 180 and Roof Racks 140.

ok I just test in my cart. I went to option name manager and changes the sort order of my size and count option names. They switched positions on the product info page for me.
So based on that, go to option name manager and change the sort order for roof racks and ladders. See what happens.

Check that the actual Product in the Attributes Controller also has the Sort Order set ... and not just to the defaults in the Option Values Manager ...

NOTE: There is an Update Sort Order on the Attributes Controller when viewing the Product ...

I am having trouble getting the sort order of attributes to show correctly my option list of quantities.

Product is business card order
I have an option for quantity that has attributes of 250, 500, 1000, 2000.
Obviously I want them in order, but even though I have set the 'default' order (misnomer) in 2 places in the admin area (catalog>option value and catalog>option value sorter), they show in the order in which I entered them, not the sort order I am specifying.

They look correct in admin, but don't show correct in store.
