Changed domain name, site not coming up

Hello again

I have recently changed my domain name from epatternjunction.com to chestnutjunction.com. Chestnutjunction.com is hosted through yahoo web hosting so I changed my name servers to point to the hostgator accout which has my zen cart installation. Hostgator has changed my domain from epatternjunction.com to chestnutjunction.com which is reflected in my cpanel. I have applied edits to the 2 configure files in my zen cart installation and changed all of the relevant information to match the new chestnutjunction.com domain name, the problem is that when pulling up www.chestnutjunction.com I either encounter a "holder" page with "related links" or I pull up my old site which I built using frontpage and which resided on the yahoo server, but my zen cart installation is not coming up, is there a step I am missing? Is there a timeframe for nameserver resolution in which things may not appear until those nameservers have been resolved?
