Default site randomly defaults back to the default template

Hello all, new to Zen Cart, thought I was figuring this out OK, but then this happened - twice!

I purchased a template, applied it, works fine. '

Made all the changes the template creator said to do, site looked good and was functional for a few days.

I added items to my cart, all was looking extremely good..... then BANG! The site just went back to the original default template with no changes!

I did a search here in the forums, but nothing seems to jump out at me.

    Version info:
    Zen Cart 1.3.8a
    Patch: 1::
    Database Patch Level: 1.3.8

Thanx for any ideas in advance,

    site is at :www.on-point-communications.com

Default Re: site randomly defaults back to the default template

I've reapplied the template and did the following (as per the designers notes):

    1. Reset the sideboxes (this should be done every time you install a new templates, else the sideboxes will not display)
Admin > Tools > Layout Boxes Controller > click the "reset" button at the bottom

    2. Set the left and right column widths
    Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Column Width - Left Boxes > 195px
    Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Column Width - Right Boxes > 195px

    3. Remove the tabs categories display
    Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings > Categories-Tabs Menu ON/OFF > 0

    4. Remove header menu's item separator
Admin > Configuration > EZ-Pages Settings > EZ-Pages Header Link Separator > (delete and leave it blank)

My logo appears on it's own, my graphics folders with product pictures are still on the server, but all product detail is gone. Catalog doesn't exist.

My pages (privacy, contact, etc.) seem to still have survived.....
