    cart error Configure.php error message

I am getting the Warning message upon visiting my website. It says they are able to write to my configuration file. My host company says that although in the file manager of MySQL says that the permissions are set at 777 they are in fact read only. I am not able to change the permissions in the file. They are at dead nd to explain why that warning would still be there. Is it Because I,m on a Non Apache server???
My question is how do I either manually or physically remove that warning message.

This is confusing. MySQL doesn't have a file manager, and the configuration files in question are PHP files, not really related to MySQL anyway (other than containing the MySQL login information).

I'd also be a bit concerned about your host company .... file permissions of 777 are read/write/executable to the file owner, group & others, and this will never change. This doesn't mean that just anyone can read/write to these files, just those that have permission to access the server. Nonetherless, it is still a security risk.

    Cheers

    I agree with Rod...

Hosting on a windoze server is restrictive and (often) frustrating.

If your host is giving you this trashy garbled advice, then you should be seriously looking at a more astute hosting environment.
