more questions about RSS feed

I have the RSS feed mod installed and it works great. However,
I was wondering if there is a way to put individual links on the
home page for specific RSS feed items. This is per a request from
my client. He likes to see links and icons on the page.

Okay. I was able to get the links to work on the main page.
Turns out that my browser was the problem (had javascripts
blocked).

However, there seems to be a problem using Google Chrome
and IE7 browsers. The RSS feed icon does not show up in the
URL bar and the links I installed do not work correctly.
Is this a browser setup problem or does the RSS feed not
work with IE7 and Chrome (find that hard to believe) ?

Anybody have help on this?

Turns out I have IE8, not IE7. Still, why does it not work in
Google Chrome.
