Custom changes to product listings

I don't know if this is the right section, but here it goes:

I am trying to create a online pc store that offers a custom pc builder function.

Before I start, I do not want to use attributes as it will defeat the point of my website which is to make it user friendly for a non technical audience. Simplicity and easy-to-build is in mind. I also can't use attributes as all of my products are dynamically added and updated in my shop.

Here is what I want the website to do.

I want a customer to access a pre-configured ezpage asking them where they want to start (barebone, pc case, bundle) and then when they select their choice, it simply takes them to another preconfigured ezpage.

Now that is the simple part and not the part I need help with, this is what I need help with:
I want to populate the ezpages with their respective list of products to display exactly the same way as if you select a category. The trick is it needs to be on a ezpage so that I can add my previous and next buttons and information to help the non technical minded people going through the process and some other bits.

Is there a code I can use to simply populate a ezpage with a certain categorie's products?

As fond as I am of Zen Cart... this is likely a better suited job for full CMS. Drupal is a workhorse... learning curve is steep, but the community is also excellent and it's quite comprehensive software.

I need to stay with Zen Cart as the automatic feed of products only works with Zen Cart.

Anyone got ideas for Zen Cart?

EZ-pages are probably not suited to your job - form elements can sometimes break the text editing box, and you can't use PHP in the ez-page content without a mod to enable it.
If you really believe product/category pages can't do the job, you may need to make new define pages to handle it. (There is a handy define page builder in Free Addons that might be useful in that case - it requires that you have .NET or something like that installed on your computer to run it.)
