Always display images in main page

Hi all,

I know you probably get this question at least once a week from us newbies, but I can assure you ive read at least 15 different threads and still not managed to resolve my problem! Im good with following instructions and have solved at least a million other problems ive had by searching through these forums, but this one has got me stumped!

I want users to be able to navigate through my web site through images on my main page, like this site:

The majority of other threads tell me to change these settings:

Admin -> Configuration -> Layout Settings -> Categories - Always show on main page - Set to 1 (on).
Admin -> Configuration -> Layout Settings -> Main Page - Opens with Category - Set to 0 (Top Level Categories).

Which I have done, but it still doesnt seem to show any images on my main page.

Note: When I set the above option (Main Page - Opens with Category) to '1' it shows as if ive clicked on one of my categories, I saw that setting this option worked on one of the other threads ive read but maybe they were running an older version of ZenCart? I know it doesnt work for me anyway.

This one also worked for somebody so I tried it but to no avail.
Admin -> Config -> Define Page Status -> Define Main Page Status > set to "0".

Another thread mentioned to set this option:
Admin -> Configuration -> Product Listing -> Show SubCategories on Main Page while navigating - Set to 1 (on).

And finally I read to double check that the categories controller box was definitely enabled which I have here:

Admin -> Tools -> Layout Boxes Controller -> sideboxes/categories.php Set to On/Left/10/0/OFF (My settings).

I uploaded a test image on one of my categories (Web Sites) and it only displays once I click on that category, not on the main page - So im not sure if ive uploaded the image wrong or something?

If you click on the 'Web Sites' Category you will see the image that im talking about above. I just cant seem to get them on the main page like on the web site at the beginning of this post.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.. Ive spent many hours trying to figure this out and now im all out of ideas. Sorry to bother you guys about something thats probably really simple, but this is really starting to frustrate me!

Can anybody figure out what the problem is?

Really wanted to try and get this sorted out by the end of the day so I can move along with the rest of the stuff that needs to be done.

Any idea what it could be?

This is at least the third time recently that I have seen this particular problem. Your template's designer has permanently removed the ability to show category thumbnail lists.

Search on the red text to find the fix for this.
