New admin settings unchanged after confirming

I am able to make changes in my admin panel but when I click the button to set/confirm the change the admin panel returns to the admin home page (instead of refreshing the current page) and no changes have been made.

I'm using the latest Zen Cart.
I recently tried installing a language pack which utterly failed, so I removed it.
I've also changed the password recently.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS... I can't find where to download SQL patches for 'Big Royal Mail'... Any help there too please?

Have you also installed the latest security patches recently? If so you have probably installed them into the wrong directory, or one (or more) of them didn't update existing files like they are supposed to.

In orher words, this sounds very much like a security related issue.

Just a quick thanks Rod! Your suggestion solved the problem, although it did take overwriting the security patches again.

And now... onto the Big Royal Mail problems.
