Hide categories from public

I'd like to allow seeing particular categories only for the registered (logged in) members.
Is there any way to hide categories from non registered users?

Thanks for the advice I read it.
My problem is that I'd like to allow some categories browsing without logging. And the another parts of the categories could only seen when the members logged in.
I'd like to inspire the visitors to register and after they could see all the categories.
