Sub Domain Install help

I am using the newest version of zencart, and have already installed it on my main domain without hassles. I have a friend who wants to set up their own store and I offered to give them a subdomain on my account.

Where do I upload the zencart files to? At the moment i have the root directory: public_html which has a subdirectory called zencart that is my main site. The sub domain is called bexstore and is also a subdirectory in public_html.

Originally I uploaded the zencart files into the bexstore folder, but when I tried to go to the site ( bexstore.laviella.com) it said it was forbidden. The only way I could get to the install was by typing in the address bexstore.laviella.com/zc_install. I got to the path directory section, and it appears to be correct, that is: /home/ebonyheart/domains/laviella.com/public_html/bexstore
but it keeps telling me that this path name is incorrect. I then read the only other post on here i could find and it said to upload the zencart files to a subdirectory or bexstore called estore.

But this had the same result... Am I missing a step here?? Otherwise, what have i done wrong? I have 2 separate databases, and I can't find anything in the FAQ's other than a quick note saying that you can run to separate zencart installations on the same server.

I'd really appreciate some help, I'm not a complete newbie, but im not a tech head either so be prepared for questions lol :)

Insure thaqt you have created the subdomain

Test with a html page first

... and set the 'document root' path for the subdomain to public_html/bexstore (or wherever)
