Do you have access to hosting control panel?

Do you have access to the site by ftp?

ftp is the method that most people use to upload/download files from the site.

It involves connecting to the ftp server of the site using an ftp program and the connection details, username and password. If you have these details then you could rescue your files from the site.

If the hosting has not given you these details (and you can't get them from the control panel) then you have a problem.

How was the site built in the first place? Did you work on the site at all yourself? Did a designer or programmer work on it? If so those details must be known.

Recovering the site without any access to the site is not possible. You need either ftp access or control panel access.

A further problem you are going to encounter if you really cannot get any answer from the hosting company and have no access is that recovering control of the domain names may be tricky. That is if the hosting company has control of the names as well.

Sorry, to be the bearer of bad news. Other may have other advice but this is my own personal experience.

Personally, I recommend always keeping the domain names registered and controlled by yourself rather than through the hosting for exactly this reason. The site can be replaced but the domain names are irreplaceable. If you are going to use 'generic shared hosting' then register the domain names with one of the major domain name vendors rather than this hosting, even if it does cost a bit more. I know that this advice may be coming a bit late.

Well, to connect with ftp you need the following details:

ftp server = ftp.mydomain.com (or something like that)
    user name
    password

If you click the home page link at the top of this page then you will get taken to a page with a download link for Zen Cart.
