Help with making products align left instead of centered in the listings...

In the product listings, anyone have any ideas on how to align all of the item names to the left in the product listings? They are all currently centered and it looks really tacky as far as clean presentation goes. This one has baffled me to this point.

The text alignment is controlle din the stylesheet.

Add

 text-align:left;

to the style of the listing that you want to have left aligned.

I tried your code in about 15 different places in the stylesheet and it did not work. Would it keep it from working because you don't have a space between the : and 'left'?

I cannot get it to work without knowing where exactly in the stylesheet to put that code. Anyone else have any ideas on how to center the item name column in the products listing????

How can someone tell you where in the stylesheet when only you know how your stylesheet looks like?

My stylesheet is whatever was in the files when I installed it. It says "template_default" instead of whatever "your_template" could be. I haven't changed anything in it until now.

Do you have any idea what section it might go into in the code?? I tried the "body" section thinking that would control the whole thing, but it didn't work there or anywhere else I tried it. I also tried the navcolumnone and navcolumntwo sections and no luck. Not sure what to do on this one.

As geel said, we need to see your site to be sure of giving correct advice.
It is likely that there is nothing currently in your stylesheet to add a text-align: property to for your purpose.
.productListing-data {text-align: left;}
would probably work, though it would affect all columns of the listing.

Firefox and its Web Developer extension will let you find these things for yourself.

You are editing the /template_default/ files?
STOP right now and read about template creation in the tutorials. There is lots of important information there, and we can answer any questions you have after reading it.

It is funny that you stopped me from editting that template_default file. Right as you would have been typing that, I realized that the classic folder actually had the correct stylesheet.css I needed. All this time I have been changing the wrong file. I got my text size where I wanted it now, but I still can't get the text in the item name column to align to the left. I see you mentioned that you need to see the script. Do you want me to copy all of it and put it on here? Maybe send it in an email? Let me know.
