Remove CC & Cheque from payment screen help

Hi,
I have turned off the Credit Card and Cheque/money order payment methods in Admin, Modules, Payment and they are still showing on the screen when I get to it as a payment option. I wish only for the paypal method to be showing.

Suggestions please...

Go to the Modules ... Payment ... and click on each Payment module that is installed but that you do not want to use and click REMOVE ...

You do not want to leave them installed if you are not using them ...

I have them all turned off except the paypal one and it is still showing them on the screen.

Could you click on the ones that you are not using and actually click REMOVE so that they are not installed and just turned off?

Also check the setting in Configuration ... Credit Cards ... for:

Credit Card Enabled - Show on Payment
Show accepted credit cards on Payment page?
0= off
1= As Text
2= As Images

Note: images and text must be defined in both the database and language file for specific credit card types.

I have unchecked the credit card show in the section you have said and they are still showing as a method of payment.

Below is a look at what it kind of looks like, as you can see i have discounts and gift certs showing as well that also aren't turned on in my admin section..

Go to Module ... Payments ...

Click on any Payment module with a colored icon for Status that is NOT the PayPal module that you are using ...

Click on REMOVE ...

Keep removing the Payment Modules until the only one with a Status icon is the PayPal module that you are using ...

None of them are active ( except the paypal one ) all of them have been removed.

It is still not removing them from the checkout screen.

Could you check your two files on the server for:
/includes/configure.php
/admin/includes/configure.php

and make sure that they are using the same paths, URLs, database, prefix etc.

I had a look and there were some differences that I changed but nothing has happened it is still the same.

Do both need to be pointing to my server?

Hey the stuff i'm copying from here is turning into chinese or something..

Any clues on what is going on, could this be whats behind the issue of not only the credit card and cheque money order problem but could it also be responsible for the categories/products photo's and info not showing in the admin section but showing in my actual store?
