Adding text to category sidebox

Is there a way to add regular text to the Category sidebox? I have a few categories and I want to separate them.

Men
T-shirts
Longsleeves
Hoodies
Etc...

Women
T-shirts
Longsleeves
Hoodies
Etc...

The Men and Women would be regular text and the T-shirts, Longsleeves, Hoodies would be my links.

Any help is appreciated

I would like to know how to do this as well. Also change the text "Categories" to something else.

And changing the "Categories" heading text will be done in a language file.

Line #77 : define('BOX_HEADING_CATEGORIES', 'Categories');

Copy to /includes/languages/your_template/english.php and edit there.
