Downloads are not available until payment has been confirmed

Hi,

I've a stange issue going on. Basically, if I add 3 digital products to my cart, I get this message:
NOTE: Downloads are not available until payment has been confirmed

Here is the testcase I just ran:
Checkout with 1 product in the cart... result OK (i.e. the download link is available)
Checkout with 2 products in the cart... result OK (i.e. the download link is available)
Checkout with 3 product in the cart... result NOT OK (i.e. the download link is not available! This note is found instead "Downloads are not available until payment has been confirmed")
Checkout with 4 products in the cart... result OK (i.e. the download link is available)

Any ideas what is going on?

Check the Payment Modules and check what the Order Status is set to on them ... Order Status needs to be set, by default, to >= 2 (Processing) or <= 4 (Delivered or Updated) ...

NOTE: Update is usually reserved for Updating an order to allow for additional download attempts or time ...

Also check what happens if you order Product 1, 2 and 4 together and exclude Product 3 ... does it work?

Hi,

the order status was already set to 'Delivered'.
I put product 1, 2 and 4 together, as you suggested, but the result it the same.
In the admin -> Customers -> Orders section, I need to change the status from Pending to Processing/Delivered before the download links appear.
Note: All tests I ran have used a gift cert as payment method.

After a few more tests, I've narrowed the issue down a little. It can actually happen with 2 products now.
If you go to this category: http://www.theebooksale.com/zen-cart...index&cPath=73
you will see 4 products. Using the latter 3, if I group them in pairs, the issue can be seen for 1 consistent pairing:

Result is OK... download links exist

1000 Atkins Diet Recipes
Result is OK... download links exist

This is repeatable.
The product setup is the same for each so I really don't know what is going on.
Any more suggestions?

Could you check to see what setting you have for the Configuration ... GV Coupons ...

Default Order Status For Zero Balance Orders
When an order's balance is zero, this order status will be assigned to it.

And if you go to the Attributes Controller for this Product Weight Loss Primer Report ... is there a green dot next to the filename?

What is the filename?

Are you using and spaces, special characters, etc. in the filename?

Do you have other EXE download files that do work?

Is the filename for this product in the /download directory?

Does it have size to it?

A. Well, "97 Ways to Get Fit and Stay Fit" is an .exe file (although zipped)... and it works fine.

I am not seeing anything at the moment that stands out from what you are saying on this product ...
