Category image showing below text in IE (instead of beside), but not firefox

Hi,
To start here's a sample (view in IE)

It may show the image of a costume, below the text.
In firefox it appears to the right of the text, as we want.

Can anyone tell me what to change to adjust that, to put images on right, in IE?

(also some of the sidebox borders, get messed up on the corners in IE)...

You need to talk to your template provider about cross browser problems.

So, discovered latest IE is messing things up.

My fix was to use a mod, which forces viewers of my site to view it as an older version of IE would.
Works perfectly!

Apparantly it's a fairly common problem with the newer IE...

You've found a fix -- that's good. But thinking of it as a problem with the newest IE is not good. IE 8 is far better than 6 or 7 at displaying properly coded content. But we've all been coding to make IE 6 and 7 behave properly for so long that now we think such code is better than what IE 8 can use. It's not. Best to code for Firefox and other standards-compliant browsers, then insert fixes for IE 6 or 7 as needed.
