Where does zencart put images?

We just installed 1.3.8 and added a large existing database. 98% of the product images came in ok. However, we added a new category after Zencart was loaded, with about 7 items that we put in manually. The new iproduct images would not show up anywhere. In the server we found the large database images in the httpsdoc folder, but the seperately loaded 7 items Zencart placed them in the httpdoc folder.
We moved all the images to the httpsdoc folder and solved the problem.
Is there some control in Zencart that directs images to a specific folder?

Images in Zen Cart are stored in the /images/ folder. If you are using image handler to manage image thumbnails an product images you only need to load the large version there. If you are handling the images manually you would stick the small version(thumbnail) in the /images/ folder, the product info page (medium) image in the /images/medium/ folder and the large (popup) image in the /images/large/ folder.

Thank you for the response. Since our Zencart resides in the server httpsdoc folder AND the server httpdoc folder how does Zencart determine which image to put into httpsdoc and which to put in the httpdoc folder?

It will stick the images in the httpdocs images folder unless you run the admin 100% in secure mode and then it will stick them in the httpsdocs images folder. Running Zen Cart in this manner, http folder vs https folder, is a real pain because you have to duplicate all of your work in both places. Images will have to be copied into the other folder manually all of the time.

Find out if the host can symlink the https folder or move to a host where dual folder structures is not required.
