Banner upload

I'm trying to put a banner on my store, but I cant delete to text that reads "Sales Message Goes Here" I want my banner to go where the text is at. We are using the default layout classic. Can somebody help me.

Try reading the Banner Ads FAQ first and see if it helps.

Can you have your banner linked to another web link?
For example if you click on the banner and it takes you to another web site?

Yes, that is possible. When you create/update a new banner in the Banner Manager screen, just enter the website address you want to redirect to in the Banner URL field.
