How to disable the buy now button?

How can I disable just the buy now or add to cart button? I will not be shipping my products from my warehouse for 4 days. I still like for my customers to browse the products.

You can "shut off the shopping" by going to your Admin> Configuration> My Store> Store Status and changing to the Showcase mode, with or without prices. When you are ready you can turn things back on in the same place by returning to Normal Shop mode.

Can we turn off (disable) the "buy now"/"add to cart" button on only certain products.

We have some products in a clearance section that have limited quantities and want the customers to call in for pricing and option availability, so we need to just "showcase" those items. They will be in with other items, so we can not just "shut down" an entire category - so this ability needs to be on the product level ... not a category level.

Set those Products to be Call for Price and the buy now/add to cart will turn off and they will say Call Now ...
