Default Authorize.net Error Message at Checkout

Hello, I bought a Zen site and recently this error appears at checkout: There has been an error processing your credit card. Please try again.

    Zen 1.3.8a
Authorize.net installed (and used to work perfectly)
I think Google XML sitemap is the only added mod

I have no idea where to start troubleshooting except to call Authorize, but they are closed. Any help would be wonderful.

    Hi engine411,

Could you try going to Admin > Modules > Payment and switching Authorize.net off and turning on Check/Money Order. You should then test an order. If that works without any problems then it would at least help you focus on 'Authorize.net' (and we may be able to help you further).

...oh and while I'm thinking try this:

If you already have a .htaccess file in your root directory (if not upload a .htaccess file) then add in the line:

    Code:
    php_flag display_errors on
This may help present some php page errors at the header during the checkout.

    Report back your findings.

Thank-you. After turning Authorize off and Check on, and doing an order like that, it went through very nicely.
About the .htaccess file, I'm not familiar with this although ftp is easy. When I uploaded the .htaccess file, I cannot see it in root. ?

EDIT: Is this as simple as creating a text file on my computer, naming it .htaccess, adding the line you provided to it, and uploading it to root?

You can disregard. Fixed it! Created a new Transaction Key, entered that in the module, and now it works. THANK-YOU for your willingness to help, and Merry Christmas.
