Trying to set up the test store suggested by the book. Am just to the install the ZC. The PHP.ini file has been edited as per the instructions on page 40 whatever and the php curl support is still off in the pre-install screen. Not sure what the heck to do...proceed? Have resaved the .ini multiple times to no result.

Did you reboot after changing the php.ini file? You have to reboot or at least restart Apache for the changes to take effect.
