    Default Authorize.net Issues - Help!

I am new to ZenCart, being a Miva Merchant webmaster, and my client has a ZenCart site that has a security issue. He uses the Authorize.net payment module.

    Two questions:

    1) Does the payment flow HAVE to leave the site and go to Authorize.net? It looks so cheesy and third party-ish.

    2) If so, how does one control the look and feel of all those checkout pages on Authorize.net, especially the final Invoice/Thank You page?

    3) In IE a security error pops up before you can get to that page, probably because some graphics on the final page are not in secure mode or something. This is causing a LOT of cart bailout.

Some help from you Zen Gurus would be soooo great!

    Thanks!

No you don't have to leave the site.
Turn off the SIM module, and turn on the AIM module instead. That way it'll collect credit card details directly on your site, without the customer having to leave. You'll need SSL capability on your site though.

Hi 2chicks. As Dr Byte mentioned, it sounds like you have the "SIM" module enabled instead of the more modern "AIM" method. You may need to contact Authorize.net (or login to the gateway) to ensure it is setup for AIM. Some banking services (Cybersource was like that before the Authnet merge) have a basic level of service where you can only use a Simple method like this (sort of reminds me of a "paypal" method); and you have to make a change to the account to be able to use the more advanced style.

Once you have AIM installed, you will need to insert some info from the gateway including the API login ID (not the same as the account id) and API transaction key. If you have setup Miva to do this before it should be pretty breezy. The module is pre-installed for easy setup in Zencart.

I recommend doing one or 2 tests in Test Mode first, and then having your merchant do a real test with a valid card in Production mode. If you encounter any errors with the gateway (like if it were not setup for AIM method), you will notice pretty quickly.

    Good luck!

Exactly what is the security issue? You will need to fix that before doing anything else.
