/images/items keep reloading

I am having problem with my host with too many files. The images/items file is very large. I tried to delete items in file, but they keep coming back. I load images via the admin/catalog/categories/products and can see that they are going to /images.

Will deleting entire items file cause problems?

I have almost 5,000 products and images. Plus another 5000 to load. Bluehost will only allow 50,000 files total. I am way over around 108,000 total files. I have been deleting old bmz_cache files and still not close.

Nice job on the re-design.

My $.02 worth is that you need a new host. Limiting the number of files rather than disk space seems stupid to me.

I use Bluehost - the recommended certified host by Zencart.

The only way to stop creating more image files in the bmz_cache is to turn off image handler. Once you upload new images to the images folder, image handler takes over and creates the different versions (sizes) of the images for display on the site. If you delete them (purge bmz_cache) image handler will just recreate them.

I have a couple of clients on Bluehost too... but not their CHEAP option. Their bog-standard hosting is meant for small hobbyist sites of a few html pages.

I believe there are far, far better hosts - one of whom has participated in this thread...
