Help with search in ADMIN

Hello,
I'm the new guy here. I'm needing some help with the Search box on the Admin;Catagories...

I have entered part numbers, and the ZEN given ID number and can NOT get a part to come up out of the 4,890 parts in the catalog.

How does one pull up a parts file out of the catalog to edit it?

If you go to Catalog and Categories you can search by model number and title only. If you didn't play with your Zen Cart file you should be able to find the product you need.
