FREE shipping is USA only:: USPS

Hello, I have been searching cannot seem to find the answer. If this has been asked before, please be so kind as to point me to that link.

I would like to offer free shipping in the USA only. Other countries I would like to charge a fee. I will be using USPS.

I have my shipping option setup but it is only showing California..ah. what did I do wrong here?

What shipping module(s) do you have installed?

Are any Products marked as Always Free Shipping or as 0 weight for Free Shipping?

Or, do all Products have a weight so USPS can make a quote for them and you just need the Free Shipping Option freeoption to work for the US?

And when you say the US, do you mean ALL of the US as in all 50 States, plus DC plus all Territories and Islands and Armed Services?

And, do you want to show Free Shipping Option freeoptions for the US in addition to the USPS as a choice for the customer to pick from?

Yes, products are marked free shipping when listing. Do I need to add 0 weight too?

I just need it to work for US as I plan on using flat rate boxes.

I only want to show the free shipping for US. Outside the US I would need to charge.

My frees shipping icon is not showing up either.

Also, one question, and again I am sorry if it has asked but once the item is paid...shipped....does the tracking number automatically go to the customer?

FREE SHIPPING! freeshipper is designed to manage Products that are marked as Always Free Shipping and/or 0 weight where 0 weight means Free Shipping ...

Always Free Shipping and 0 weight used in this manner were meant for EVERYONE ... meaning the FREE SHIPPING! freeshipper shipping module shows for everyone and only shows when the other shipping modules do not ...

Now you have me wondering if you are trying to use Always Free Shipping just for the US or for everyone ...

If, what you are trying to do is have Always Free Shipping Products for EVERYONE and Free Shipping for all people in the US and USPS shipping for everyone else ... then you could install:

FREE SHIPPING freeshipper
for orders with 0 weight or Always Free Shipping Products and EVERYONE would get this when there were only Always Free Shipping products in the cart ...

Free Shipping Options freeoptions
for the US by setting up a Zone for the US (or the part of the US that you intend to allow to have Free Shipping) and set the Total to >= 0 and all other settings to blanks

USPS
for the rest of the world by creating a zone for everyone *except* the US (or who you have defined in your other zone for the US)
