Installing Zen Cart to my computer only?

kuroi was so cind to tell me how to install Zen Cart,
I would prefer to install it on my computer and learn to handle it before I go on the net.
If I remember correct, there was a cind of "fake adress" I could use to do so, but I am not able to find it.
Is there somebody out there who could tell me how exactly I install Zen Cart on my computer only.
