Flat Rate Handling Fee for Payment Module

Hi there

How would I go about adding a flat rate handling fee (e.g. + $1.00) for a certain payment method?

I have modified the Cash on Delivery payment module as a base for the new payment method so almost all coding is the same.

I would highly appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction or provide me with a string of code I can paste into my code to achieve this. I'm a total newbie when it comes to coding PHP...

Since you've used the COD module, you should be able to go to Admin - Modules - Order Total and add a COD fee.
