Default Css Buttons & In Store Only

While first of I would like to say that I love the fact zen cart has valid xhtml and is css driven, Its been a breeze compared to cleaning up oscommerce!

I have a few quick questions that have frustrated me and wanted to see if anyone could help me with them. I have been modifiing the classic template to look like the rest of the site I have been working on, but I have ran into a few snags, mainly when I changed the font face.

    Here's the shopping url

    http://www.rescuetechsales.com/shop/

Here's a few things I can not figure out for the life of me.

    1. The css buttons display crazy in ie 7 and have some of the letters cut off in every browser.

    2. The search box header bar has a height higher than specified causing the background image to repeat

    3. I can not change the font size of New Products For December regardless of what I do. I tried appling a style directly to class and it still will not change.

    4. I have changed the call for price image to in store only. I don't want the link "Call for price" displayed on the product page no longer only the image. Is there anyway to remove this in the source code. Heres the url to that page

    http://rescuetechsales.com/shop/inde...&products_id=1

Any help would be much appreciated.

    2. The search box header bar has a height higher than specified causing the background image to repeat

Solved - I simply used for a height using the id instead of looking for the correct area to set the padding / height?

    3. I can not change the font size of New Products For December regardless of what I do. I tried appling a style directly to class and it still will not change.

    - I wasn't used to the style of listing the tag first then the class, here was the problem selector

    H3.rightBoxHeading

I'm still lost on number 1 and four. I just figured I would update this so no one wasted time helping me with something I already figured out.

I'm not seeing the CSS button problem. Did you fix it, or can you point to a specific example?

Can anyone tell me where the "call for price" image is stored I would like to change it but cannot find the file.

    Thanks,
    Dave

I always gave up on the CSS buttons. I would LOVE to have them. But there is no consistency whatsoever across browsers and it drives me nuts!

I use CSS buttons on both my sites. There are slight differences cross-browser ("cross-browser" is a code phrase meaning IE bugs out as usual). I don't find the slight variations in appearance to be a problem, though perhaps potential customers with very old versions of IE might see the issue otherwise. But their view of the web is getting more and more warped in general, so I assume they'll upgrade some day, and I don't worry about it.

The OP's issue of letters being cut off can be solved by removing or modifying Zen Cart's ancient hard-wiring of button widths, as mentioned in a couple of threads I referred to in response to this same question (by the same poster?) in other threads.
