Trying to change the width of pages on computer screen...

I checked all of the results in the FAQ and they did not work on mine. My stylesheet main wrapper section was already set to 750px wide so I changed it to 100% and nothing changed on the screen. I then tried 900pix and still nothing changed. Looked at the other lines in the sytlesheet and nothing caught my eye that could also need to be changed. Thought I would finally ask for help from the masters in the forum. Any ideas????

By the way, my montior is 1440 x 900 here just so we all know I am not on an 800px monitor.

Are you editing includes/templates/classic/css/stylesheet.css?

Are your file permissions set properly?

You need to create your own template

When I check your stylesheet. I notice you have mainWrapper in both stylesheet.css and stylesheet_css_buttons.css.

mainWrapper in Stylesheet.css width:100% and mainWrapper in stylesheet_css_buttons.css width:750px.

Delete the mainWrapper from styleshee_css_buttons.css and see what happen.

Would that make a difference? I have "classic" and I have "template_default" to choose from and one of them has to control this action that I am trying to figure out or the store would not work. I changed both of them and neither did the job. I have also changed other stuff in this classic stylesheet and it has worked, leading me to believe that I wouldn't need a third stylesheet with only a different name.

You mentioned something about permissions, could you elaborate a little more on that if you feel it may have something to do with this problem?

WOW! Good Call Royal!

Any idea how to get my logo header to NOT double up now? I have it sized at 750 long and 75 high. I love the seamless stitching that the system used to combine the logo twice side by side, but I just want the "Benham Baseball Cards" up there once in the center no matter what size the screen is, but keep the blue background of my logo going all the way across the screen like it is now. Any ideas on this new issue?

Yep, I deleted the one in buttons and have the classic stylesheet.css at 100%. The page has now stretched to the sides of my monitor but the header logo has doubled up now as I mentioned below, Any ideas?
