Darkness Template--Logo is Tiling (Banner)

I have used Darkness on another website with no problems but on this one, the logo or banner of my site is tiling. How can that be fixed?
I have the css sheet set to 99% so that it will change with different sized monitors and again, no problems on the other site.

If I change the size to 860 px instead of the 99% then it works just fine but it gives me a large area of bareness on both sides. I want to keep the categories all the way to the left and right and then those will shrink to size of monitor.
Any advice or why this is tiling and how I get rid of it.

Line 194 of includes/templates/darkness/css/stylesheet.css, find this line:

background-image:url(http://www.serenityjewelryandbeads.com/images/header_bg.jpg)l

and add after it:

background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: center;

Another question for you if you don't mind?
The sideboxes? How do I change the color of the background, the box on top where it says Categories (colorwise) and also the border around them? I've gone up and down the css sheet and can't find what I'm looking for. Checking the font colors and matching the hex number in photoshop?
Should I be in the languages/english/index file??

Firstly, I would use FireFox instead of your current browser, which I suspect is Internet Explorer. The reason for this is you can install a little add-on called FireBug. This is a GREAT piece of software, and I swear I could not do my job without it. All you need to do now is to right click on the object you want to change the background of, and click INSPECT within FireFox, and FireBug shows you all the objects properties, including CSS and which files are affecting it, and the line numbers.

So the boxes you want to alter are on line standard links, and they are controlled by the base template stylesheet, on line 22.
