    Default Order Status and Order History

    Hi all,
    I am using Zen Cart 1.3.8a and have a question regarding a customers order history and the order status.

    Is there a way to add another option to the order status drop down in the admin interface, i.e. "Complete"? The reason is that I am not "managing" orders via my admin interface, this is handled by my ERP system so when a customer logs in and views previous orders they are currently set to Processing. I would like it just to say "Complete".

    Alternatively is there a way to mass update the order status via something like Easy Populate?

    Any suggestions would be welcome!

    You can set the order status for each Payment in Module>Payment > Set Order Status

    Or you can rename order status processing to complete if you dont have any status updates anyway. I think its defined in the database. But not 100% sure.

    thanks for the reply. You are right in saying that you can change the default order status from with Modules>Payments.....but do you know how I can add another option?

    Look under Admin >> Localization >> Orders Status.

    Um ... simply renaming "Processing" to "Complete" is really not solving the problem.

    If a customer places an order and it's immediately set to "Complete" status, that's really *not* the truth.

    A better solution would be to write custom code to have your ERP system update your store data with a added status-history entry to state that the order has been completed, perhaps along with shipping confirmation/tracking details. As I said, that will require custom coding.

    Hi,

    Have a look at Super-Orders. This will allow you to do a batch update of all orders in status 'x' to change to status 'y'.
