New Install, Old Tables

ok, i found the lines in the config file and added the correct table prefix, but when i did, i get this error for the admin area, the admin area was working fine before i added the correct table prefix. also, i dumped all the old tables that were not popluted from the install -

1146 Table 'addyfish_addy.project_version' doesn't exist
in:
[select * from project_version WHERE project_version_key = 'Zen-Cart Database' ]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.


all my products and descriptions from before showed up so i'm almost there, can anyone help me fix that error i'm getting for the admin folder?

Do you have the same Zencart version As before? I guess not.

Maybe post you before and after version to get further advise.

Although probably not related to your immediate problem, do keep in mind that this change needs to be made in BOTH configure.php files.

Dumping the old tables was a good idea, because it ensures you only have one set of data to work with.

This looks wrong to me. zencart generally uses the underscore character as the prefix/name separator, so assuming your prefix is "addyfish_" the table name should be 'addyfish_project_version'

For some reason or another, your prefix appears to be "addyfish_addy." so perhaps you messed up when you edited your config file?

This also looks 'wrong' in that it implies a prefix isn't used at all (Not that that is wrong in itself, but if a prefix is expected then this select command won't find the table named "project_version"

Double check your prefixes, and ensure you make the same changes in both configure.php files, because this really does look like you may have made a typo with your edits. Something is definiterly fishy with "addyfish_addy." being used as a prefix in one place, and no apparent prefix being used in another.

You'll be needing to use the username/password that was stored in your old tables rather than those used when you setup the new installation.
