RSS Feed links dont work

Hi,
I have tried to install an rss feed contribution.
the version is rss_feed_2-1-4

No success, installing it as I don't have much knowledge of where to upload things and where to put any line of code.

I did the sql install via the zencart admin, no probs there.

When I tried following the instructions on where to put the code, i kept getting blank pages and or error messages.

The version of zencart is
Zen Cart 1.3.7
Database Patch Level: 1.3.7

What I have done now as everything else has failed,
is read a tutorial of how to do an RSS Feed on a basic level.
This is just code that I have made and uploaded to my webserver where zencart is, but not as a part of zencart, hope that made sense.

Well happy to say it worked, but the problem I have now is it doesn't handle the links in zencart such as a link like this.....

The feed page is left with no description or link.

The rest of it makes it not work.

Every product I have in the website has a link ending similar to this.

A basic link works such as shipping info or contact us etc.

Is there something I am doing wrong, or can a link be represented in a different way or is the only way an RSS feed can work is with a contribution.

The feed link is http://shopinoz.com.au/rss/RSS.xml
if you need it that is, not sure.

the blank page happens because you have most likely inserted the code including the opening php and the closing ?> in an already open php statement..

to make it work correctly you either need to put the whole statment just before the </head> or stril out the openng and closing part of the php code and just have the echo..


it will now work..
