Default HTTP and HTTPS directory separation

Are HTTP and HTTPS files separated by directory so that a custom htaccess can be made for each?

    thanks.

No, Zencart does not seperated any files for HTTP and HTTPS connections. And I have no idea what advantage would you have with different htaccess files.

Strictly speaking HTTP & HTTPS are separated by different *servers*, which traditionally would imply different directories. However if both servers point to the same directory then the files and directories are shared.

A standard zencart installation would typically be using shared files.

you would be able to control each type separately via unique htaccess files.

    You don't want to.

As I said in your other thread which is no doubt leading you to start this discussion, I think you're getting yourself lost in areas you don't need to be wasting time in.
