Default Suggestions for Pizza Ordering Site?

I recently got a new client that does Take N Bake Pizza and they called me yesterday requesting I revamp their e-commerce system since it's hosted somewhere else and they want to go with something new. I thought of ZC immediately, but I've got some questions and need some opinions from the faithful.

Basically, they want their e-commerce to be a lot like http://www.homemadepizza.com/ which uses JQuery and AJAX to make it work. It's pretty impressive so can ZC be customized to do this or has anyone even tried it?

I also need to have it set up for regular orders, wholesale orders (they sell to stores like Trader Joe's in some regions), online orders that can be shipped nationwide and it may be integrated into a mobile site or even better, an iPhone app. Can ZC do all this?

yes it can be done. I am working on a project, part of which is live fairygirls.com.au that uses jquery on most pages and 2 o3 instances of jquery on some pages. I'm also using css sprites for the buttons. So basically anything can be done with time.

For the re-order system. Basically you just need to add a form to order history pages but could be a big job depending on how experienced you are with php/mysql and how quick you can learn about and understand how zen cart works.

This Pizza site, http://www.pizzagogo.co.uk recently launched is built with Zen Cart. Looks like it's got everything you need. I think it was built by @JSWeb so you may want to chat with him or partner with him to get the job done.

@Stuff4Toys it doesn't matter what the site is built with. If you want you can have a flash frontend or whatever with skill and time. I see Zen Cart as a skeleton or the engine. HTML, CSS, JS, Ajax, Flash etc is just the dressing... the graphic user interface. You can dress up Zen Cart in any clothing you like. (Playing around with a mobile templates really makes this become clear)

Adam is exactly right -- The core of zen cart (eCommerce - allowing customers to place and pay for orders) is great [we love it!!] but as for design, don't let that stop you building ANY Look'N'Feel you want ontop of the standard install!! Take a look at some of our portfolio designs on our website.

Hey, I was wondering since I'm in the States,is there any chance you could send me a login to the store via a demo account? I don't think it'll accept a US address and obviously I'm not planning to order a pizza. I just want to see how the process works.
