Default Setting up links in Tables

    Hi All,

I am wanting to set up a link to a product on my site so that the customer can just click the link in the table and go straight to the product.

The table will have around twenty or so links to products so that they don't have to waste time searching through the site as these products are the same but have a lot of different dimensions.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how this can be done.

Depends... where do you want this table to appear? Your main page?

I was thinking of making it a part called pulley reference with the table in the description so that they can click on the part number in the table and get directed straight to that part because going through each part will turn them off buying.

Alright... where would this be located on your site, though?
Anyway, it sounds like the best way is to set it up with EZ-Pages: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=117

This way, you could set up a separate page with your own custom text, including a table with links... Or, you could even set up each separate link (to each part) as an "internal link" EZ-Page, and have them neatly arranged in a sidebox.

Thanks bodyjewelrystores but I have problems with the so called EZ pages as I find it extremely difficult to use. What I am after is a simple way to put links into the table.

I have a forum and it is extremely simple to put links into a post or table but it appears not so easy in zen cart.

I would have thought all that would be need is a simple code to put into the form cell. Is there such a code that would work?

Well, I had my own difficulties with EZpages at first but it's really a breeze once you get the hang of it. Especially if you want the "internal link" type of EZpage (my 2nd suggestion above) - all you need to do is paste your product link into the appropriate field, just as easy as posting it on a forum.
Any links you add this way will be lined up neatly in the ezpages sidebox. And your EZ page's "Title" will be the clickable text that is displayed for each link. Check the "Internal Link URL" section in the above tutorial for more info.

I'm still really not sure from your description if that's exactly what what you want... but it does sound like the simplest and easiest setup.

This is the type of thing that I am looking at putting into the form field:
Vee Pulley Link which direct you straight to the product.

Just want the same thing in one of the form box.

You haven't said yet exactly where on your site/page you want to put these links.

If you want them in a sidebox that will be available on all pages, make an internal link as bodyjewelrystores described, making sure to give a sort order in the "sidebox" section at the top.

If you want them in the center column of the homepage, paste the links into define_main_page.php in Tools > Define Pages Editor.

If you want a separate page with these links displayed in the center, use an ez-page for some comments about the link group, and internal links for each category, with them all set up for the same chapter in the "TOC/chapter" section at the top of the page.
