Column Width and Sidebox Width not working

I have just found that for some reason or another the width settings for the Left Column and Sideboxes is not obeying.

The column width is set in Admin to be 180px while the sideboxes are set to be 170px, however when I use Firebug to figure out why things aren't changing, I can see that both of these have a width of 170px.

Is there any reason the Admin settings aren't being obeyed? I do not have a width specified in the stylesheet.

EDIT: It appears that only the Column Width - Left Boxes setting is being obeyed, and not the Column Width - Left settings. So all sideboxes and column width are the same, because it's obeying only 1 setting, and that is not what I need.

I did not use a template. I created my own based off of the default template.

What happens when you switch to Classic template...does site display correctly then...if it does, then problem is with your own creation..

Problem is still there when I switch to the Classic Template..

Especially on main page, resize graphic images....way to large...
