Show products stock on checkout page

If the product is out of stock, zen cart gives a warning of this in the shopping cart.

Default, this shows as 3 x *** , next to the product, refering to the warningmessage at the top --> ("Out of stock-message")

How can I fix this:
Say I want this to work also on the checkout-page where the customer choose paymentmethod and shippingmethod and such..

I DO want customers to be able to check out even if some of the products are out of stock. But at the same time, I want to MAKE SURE that the customer gets a message telling him the delivery time can be a little longer..

I hate to be bumping my own threads like this, but it would have been really happy to get some help on this issue.

This is the what would bring my zen cart to 100%!

I have tried to copy the lines from the shopping cart template, and on to the checkout-template, but this doesn't work at all.

Maybe it's a function I need to call, but I don't know which!?

Have you not set up your stock levels so that if product is out of stock, it cannot be ordered/added to checkout..

Hi misty!

No, I've set up my cart as explained in the post you are refering to.
Customers CAN order even though products are out of stock.

But thank you very much for finding my post. I have done quite some work on my template since I wrote that post. And also installed Fast and Easy checkout - which made my checkout-message go away for products out of stock.

And as embarrassing as it is: I had fogotten all about it.

(Not only didn't I find this when I searched for it, but it was also there under my own posts)

Note to self: Get more structure!
