GlobalPay Module?

Not sure if this is the best place to put this, but here we go.

One of our clients has a ZenCart install for their online store, and they have been required by their parent organization to implement an automated online processing system for credit/debit cards. Unfortunately, their parent organization requires them to use GlobalPay from Global Payments Inc (http://www.globalpaymentsinc.com/). Naturally, there is no module in standard ZenCart for this.

Has anyone tried to modify ZenCart to use GlobalPay before? If nobody has, can someone give me a good place to start on how to implement use of the API as a payment processing method?

Thanks! I had a look through the code for that module and it looks like its still usable with the current API specifications even though it hasn't been updated for almost 2 years. Won't know for sure until the client gets back to us with the merchant id information that they want us to use for testing.
