Why is that? They would just be hosting my ZenCart on my virtual dedicated server... can you give some details? I really appreciate it!

There are scores of posts similar to these, but the above may cause you to ponder...

All you need to do is search this forum for your host to see other experiences.
Please do not PM for support issues: a private solution doesn't benefit the community.
Be careful with unsolicited advice via email or PM - Make sure the person you are talking to is a reliable source.
Wow. That sucks. Now- there's a lot of talk about the economy/low end hosting at GoDaddy being bad. I have a Virtual Dedicated server- I've ran a number of sites (mainly blog and forum based) and never had any complaints or real problems with them. Does that still apply to me, do you think?
What hosts are considered to be good for ZenCart?
I appreciate the help!
I think that whatever the hosting format they offer, the general consensus is that GoDaddy is not suitable for proper eCommerce hosting.
This is because of the way the servers are configured, and the load they put on their servers. The latter may not apply to you, but if you have FULL MANAGEMENT of your server, and are able to configure it at will, including the hosting of the databases you will need, then there may be a glimmer of hope for you.
Personally I would look elsewhere, and your choice of host will be based on whether you want to continue with a dedicated server, or move to shared hosting.
Again... there may be a glimmer of hope if you have your own server with GD... but making sure it is properly configured may require the analysis of an expert.

Interesting. Yeah, I have full access to the MySQL db and whatnot- it is a SHARED server, meaning, they split the box up to 4 users- each acting as it's own server within itself. I have 256MB Guaranteed Ram, up to 1GB Bursted, etc etc. Like I said, it's done well for me with everything else- but never done an ecommerce site on it yet- so I'm open that it could suck.
I'd love any suggestions on new hosts!
Thanks!
These are all known to be excellent, with my own "preference" being King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table...
