How to transfer from my host to zen cart?

I have my template files in my host files. How do I get those files to my zen cart?
I have a zencart file with my host and I followed the directions on the how to pages I find on the web but when I sign onto zencart and go to tools and edit page. My template is not in the drop down menu

If it is a ZenCart template it belongs at

includes/templates/my_new_template

ok I went told it was supposed to be includes/templates/CUSTOM but I will switch it to my_new_tepmlate

Now here is where I think its getting confused. When I use my winzip program to transfer it it has to be with that winzip icon next to it. It not then I am clicking on each file includes...templates...my_new_template and then its empty.

CUSTOM and My_New_Template are only place holders for what your templates actual name

But when I try to transfer the files from winzip every time I click on a file it just goes into the file inside of it all the way until the end.

Unzip the files on your local - transfer then with your FTP client
