Default Using checkout only - not sore front.

    Hi all,

I want to build a mainly educational website with the option to but things on random pages. For example when looking at a tutorial I would like to sell a book at the bottom of the page with a simple "buy it" button below the item for sale and a "view cart button" at the top of all pages on the site. My credit card terminal supplier has recommended Zen Cart but I can only seem to find the entire store front which I do not want to use. Can anybody tell me how I might go about doing this?

    Thanks in advance.

This question is asked a lot, and the usual answer is: "You can't'.

Zencart is designed to be the entire site, and there isn't any practical way to just use pieces of it.

It sounds like you haven't built the site yet - take a look at using Zencart as the site, using EZ pages for your tutorials, etc.

Sadly the site is already built and I am doing exactly what I want to do already with paypal website payments standard but I now have a merchant account and would like to swap the paypal buttons for other ones that allow my customers to pay wit credit and debit cards directly.

Is there now way that I can create the store in the usual way but embed the "buy now" buttons in my html site?

Not with Zencart. You'll run into problems with sessions by switching back and forth between Zencart and non-Zencart pages, among other problems. If all you want is a payment backend, you might Google ejunkie. Not free, though.
