Default Aligning my header logo with the main content

    Hi all,
I've searched quite a bit for an answer to this but cant seem to find one.

I want to align my logo to be centered with my main content, as opposed to be centered with the whole page. Is this possible, or more so how can I do it.

Also, can I then do the same with my ezyheader breadcrumbs?

Lastly, assuming all of this can be done, can i then put bullet point writing in on the left hand side above my categories? ie where the original zen cart logo was.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    The url is http://firstaction.com.au/fightingequipment/index.php

    Thanks

Check either of my sites (link in my sig, below). Both have the header content pushed over above the main column so I can position my logo above the left column. I had to do that because my logo is vertically formatted, not the common horizontal.

I used absolute positioning to keep my logo top-left, then simply gave the header a large left margin to push it over. The details can be found in my stylesheets, which you can see if you're using Developer Tools or Firebug in Firefox.

BUT... your header material is wider than your main column of data -- in my browser at least, which I always keep around 1000 pixels wide so I can see other apps beside it. In other words, you can't assume there's always going to be room for your header unless you make it smaller than the smallest likely width. If your site had a fixed width (as mine do) this wouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for your input rstevenson. I kind of understand what you are saying but don't really understand how to go about implementing it. (Sorry, I'm still learning -- lots)

I assume I am changing these things in the cssstyles page. So I think i need to do the following

Make my header smaller than my main column (this I can do) - and make the site a fixed width
How do I make it a fixed width? and then what width do you suggest I make the header?

Then I guess I need to use absolute positioning to put my logo to the right - how do I do this? is it just float:right? - because i tried this first and it isnt centered on the main content
The last bit is then to make the left margin bigger? I think I definately have this last bit wrong.

    Any comments greatly appreciated
    Thanks
