Digital Downloads Not Working... Well Sorta

Hi everyone...
Using Zen Cart v1.3.8a/v1.3.8

I setup a test digital download successfully by following a great tutorial on this forum... but there's one weird problem...

First of all, I'm using a masked redirect link, I haven't tried it without one..

OK, so..after a purchase... the Download link and button go to a blank page when I click on them. Also, as expected, if I copy the URL and paste it in the address bar, no luck... HOWEVER, when I right-click and save the file, it works... I can't expect my customers to always right-click..so... any thoughts?

Ok, it gets weirder...

It doesn't work at all in IE (right clicking nor direct link) AND when using the right click save as option in Firefox it appears to download the file... however, the file is a fraction of the size and does not open because it is "corrupt". The file name is correct though, and I verified the file on the FTP server to be sure it wasn't corrupt as well and it was fine.

Seems it may be a problem with the default download method.. I changed "download by redirect" to False in the Attribute Settings to get it working... so.. it's fixed.. well not fixed, but worked around :)

Sounds like maybe your server isn't capable of supporting the download-by-redirect option.
