Two product sharing same stock

Maybe someone would be able to help me out with this because its beyond me.
I want to share one amount of stock between 2 products without splitting the stock. For example i fit and sell dslite screens so i have two products buy a screen and have a screen fitted. if i have 100 screens i don't want to split it 50 in each product, i would like the amount to be deducted from the total amount (100) when i sell from either product.

Is this possible? I have been trying but cant seem to get it to work. Any help would be great.

Have you looked at the Attributes?

Option Name: Screen (or some such name)

Option Values:
Select from below ... (or some such name and set to Display Only, Default)
Screen Only
Screen and Fitted

Thanks for the update that using the Attributes was a solution to this problem ...
