Category or Product Link to External URL

I was wondering if it is possible to link a category or a product within a category to an external website.

i.e. School Musicals is a category in the sidebox that I want to link to another domain.

You can view my site at http://kremerpublications.com/index.php. The "VBS" link is also in the same boat.

You would have to edit tpl_categories.php to output the external link instead of the ordinary category link when the particular category id was being processed. Since you have a flyout menu in place, the code would be different from standard and I can't say exactly where this would go. If you didn't already have a customized menu, you could use Categories Dressing and add a heading link without having to use a "dummy" category.
