help question New Customers Agree To Membership Conditions at sign up - how?

    Hi

I am setting up a shop to sell only to people that will agree conditions of membership to our 'association'. Yes, I know this cuts down on buyers, but it's important.

I have a few conditions that people have to read, and agree with before I can allow them to create an account - how can I do this please?

I don't care if there is an extra page in the sign up process or it's a check box and text right on the customer sign up page, but I do want them to read the agreement and stating that they agree before I accept them. A simple check box with a "link to the text" isn't good enough - nobody actaully reads that info, but just ticks the box.

    Thanks

    Paul

Something like Admin - Configuration - Regulations ?

Obviously, you'll have no way of knowing if the visitor actually read the text.

Thanks, that's all I can come up with myself. But let's face it, only a vert small percentage of people actually click on a link lke that to read the text. We just tick the box no matter what.

I do want them to read it, or at least put it right in their face and get them to agree it.

Also, I will have a page for terms & conditions and a page for privacy information, so can't really sacrafice either of these for my 'membership terms agreement'
