How to disable Check for updates?

Hi everyone,

Could anyone please tell me how to disable the "Check for Updates" button on the Admin side? Because my Zen-Cart has some add-ons that cannot use override system.

The Admin "check for updates" feature in v1.3.x doesn't check anything related to addons, so is not related to any problems you may or may not have with overrides.

Thank you for your help.

I meant my Zen-Cart 1.3.8 has a few customisation that do NOT use the overrides system due to being unable to create custom template folder for custom files. Will the update override my custom files? Because, if my understanding is correct, the update will override my custom files that do NOT use the overrides system.

Non-overridden files will be replaced in an upgrade, but the 'Check for Updates' button doesn't do anything but inform you if an update is available. There is no automatic updating in Zencart.
