Easy populate - Products not inserted in right subcategory

Issue with Easy Populate (Version 1.2.5.4) for Zen-cart (Version 1.3.8a)

Products are well inserted in catalog but not in right mentionned existing sub-categories.

When importing, EZ populate creates automatically a new category on catalog root which is indeed the name of the sub-category where the product should be.

Example: import file with fields in "General" format code, save as (tab) .csv file, saved in unicode-utf8 with Open Office.

v_categories_name_1 v_categories_name_2 v_categories_name_3
Beverage Beer Germany

Result: Product created in newly category created by EZ in catalog root

Catalog root (for my example):
- Germany
- Beverage

So, I need to move manually products one by one to the right subcategory like from "Germany" to "Beverage->Beer->Germany". Very long and annoying process :-(

hi, you can ref to belowing,

v_categories_name_1 (top category)
obligatory
format: not upper case only
names for the same category have to be always exactly the same (do not use ‚Auto screwdrivers‘, ‚Screwdrivers auto‘ and ‚auto screwdrivers‘ but only ONE of these)
e.g. Screwdrivers


v_categories_name_2 (1st sub-category)
optional
format: not upper case only

Even if I was checking your wiki page before posting, I started again to read it.

Problem solved! Many thanks :-)

Indeed, I reinstall the version 1.2.5.4 linked to your page. I overwrite all my easypopulate files and execute the url command mentionned in the install.txt file (something like easypopulate?langer=install). Configure the maximum of categories level to 3 and it works now!

I tried several easypopulate versions but in fact, the version 1.2.5.4 is the most reliable and easy one.

Still one EP issue to tackle (Searchability in Admin page)
