Default Restoring to a backup version question.

Ok was going to use my store as is and relaunch it:

    http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145202

But...I was looking around in my Fantastico and saw the upgrade to 1.3.8a{patched) button so like an idiot i presesed it now it seems t's put a duplicate onto the same database - everything now totally screwed up.

    So...

I deleted the entire database and did a brand new installation.

Fortunately for me - I did a complete backup of the ENTIRE thing before so that I would have a base setup to work with in this type of scenario (including a hack if I ever got one).

So I go over to the computer and when I try to do a system restore it does this to me

Ok - I've read / tired pages 366-367 in the book and also tried this link:

    https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=103

    but I'm having this problem:

    Chose database = OK
    Clicked Import = OK

Click Location of the text file Browse button and select my file - now 2 questions here - I made two backups - zip and Gzip (.tar)
just in case I had a problem Which one do I choose?

    1. JEC-Mystore-BU-08-16-2009 - Zip
    2.MasterSite-backup-8.16.2009_11-50-02_jecphot.tar

If I choose the zip - I get this error message:
You attempted to load file with unsupported compression (application/zip). Either support for it is not implemented or disabled by your configuration.

If I use the .tar the browser triangle flashes and the blue status bar on the bottom goes across the bottom (100%) and then just seems to hang there - it will flash from from time to time but after 10-15 minutes nothing happens.

I have also tried to unzip it as the book suggested but when I do anr try to upload I get this message:

    Error
    SQL query:

    --
-- Dumping data for table `zen_address_book`
    --
    INSERT INTO `zen_address_book` ( `address_book_id` , `customers_id` , `entry_gender` , `entry_company` , `entry_firstname` , `entry_lastname` , `entry_street_address` , `entry_suburb` , `entry_postcode` , `entry_city` , `entry_state` , `entry_country_id` , `entry_zone_id` )
    VALUES ( 1, 1, 'm', 'jecphotography.com', 'J***, 'C***', '*** Adreess, '', 'M4P XXX', 'Toronto', '', 38, 74 ) ;

    MySQL said:

    #1062 - Duplicate entry '1' for key 1

(I chaged my address slightly above)

No I don't know if this has anythignto do with it but I can't remember if I did the back up before or after my SSL certificate So don't know if this effects it or not.

Ok, well that's about it - oh BTW - me doing it via internet explorer - will try to do it on firefox.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Oh - if needed, I can also do a complete master backup of my ENTIRE site - but would rather not go that route :-)
